Our sources of Grime Time, met up with London’s most wanted grime artist, ever to have entered the scene. He told us his plans, and when his new mixtapes will drop. But unfortunately, one question on everybody’s mind remains unanswered. Who is ‘The Unknown’?
In his last mixtape, the song ‘No More’, he tells his life story and how he has ended up the way he has.
After all of the struggles of his family not having enough funds to feed his family, they eventually pulled through and he is now signed to a huge record label within London City.
Although, when he found some money, his so-called ‘friends’ set him and his girlfriend up so he was robbed of his money, and beaten down. Ever since then, he has never revealed himself to anybody he knows.
As time passed, his mother and father both died in a car crash, leaving him on his own and with no other family members. This is the main reason why his music seems to be aggressive.
In secondary school, ‘The Unknown’ was bullied every single day until one day he stood up for himself and punched the bully straight in the face. They mentioned his dead parents, for what it seemed to be the very last time. From then on, he turned to music, and writing bars, which he presented to Youtube. Although it took a while, success hit him. He was getting hundreds of thousands of views on every single video when the Record Label contacted him.
Nowadays he carries on the music, and the secrecy. Will he ever reveal himself? Nobody knows. Nobody knows but him.
He is the greatest grime artist the UK has seen and no doubt he will improve and carry on submitting tracks which will never fail to impress.

My cover page is based on many different magazines, all fitting in with the same genre. A plan i have made is to follow the convention that the main picture of my artist will go over the name of the Magazine. Also, i have used the title GRIMETIME in capitals because it stands out to the viewer, making it the first thing that they see. This is also an effective convention which a lot of magazines follow.

Textual Analysis of Music Magazine Pages

 The magazine's Masthead is big and bold, and it stands out from the background as they are contrasting colours. The main artist, 'Loick Essien' only slightly is covering part of the Masthead, which is effective because it shows how important the artist is. The subtitles coming across the artist are in boxes with contrasting colours so the audience can clearly see what it says in them. Also, the different titles of people on the right hand side are in contrasting colours to the background to show importance to them. The fact there is a 'Plus' title, shows that there are important things to read within in the magazine.
The entire cover page use the same colours, being white, red and black. These colours could connote innocence, yet danger. This is effective because it shows the magazine means no harm, yet could hold information that could be seen as gossip.

 The magazine's contents page is clearly stated as the contents page by the word 'CONTENTS' in the top right hand side of the page. The pictures on the left hand side of the page show the audience what kind of stuff that the magazine includes. The writing on the page is also very clear and bold as it is contrasting to the background. there aren't any empty spaces on the page because there is a lot of information telling the audience what there is to read about. the lines between the contents show that they are split up, and clearly shows that they are separate pages. The images on the left hand side are outlined by the colour red, connoting danger and interest, making the audience want to know the story behind the images. As there are page numbers on the pictures, it shows that the magazine cares for navigation and wants the audience to find their way around their magazine easily.   

This magazine's double page spread shows the artist's name clearly, in white coloured font. This can connote innocence. As there are two big images, it shows the audience how important this artist is and it makes the audience familiar with who he is. As the page is a Q&A page, the questions and answers are in different coloured fonts. This is to show the audience a difference between the artist and the magazine. The sections of the writing is very organised and clean. This is because they are split into three sections. This is to fit in as much writing as they possibly can. The bold black writing beneath the main picture on the left is there to show the audience what the following pages are about.
